⚠️ NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 7)
Plan to Divert Future School Tax Revenue for 25 Years
📅 2026-09-03
The board is reviewing a plan to pledge 100% of future property tax growth from a new housing development to the developer for 25 years. This means for a quarter-century, our schools will get no new revenue from this property’s increased value — money that should be going to our kids.
Recommended Action Plan

PROTECT SCHOOL FUNDING: Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link for details) and email the board. Urge them: ‘Do not vote to give away 25 years of future school tax revenue to subsidize a private developer. Our students’ needs must come before developer profits. Vote NO on the Sugarbowl URA plan.’

💰 Taxpayer Impact: 25 Years of Lost School Funding
⚠️ NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 6)
School Program Uses ‘Affinity Space’ to Group Students by Identity
📅 2026-09-03
A presentation on the ‘Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education’ department reveals a ‘women’s empowerment group’ called BLOOM. This program uses ‘Affinity Spaces,’ a DEI practice that can segregate students by identity, to discuss sensitive topics like ‘Identity’ and ‘Sense of Belonging.’
Recommended Action Plan

ASK QUESTIONS: Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link for details). Ask: ‘Regarding the BLOOM program’s “Affinity Space,” is this program separating students by race or other characteristics? Is parental consent required for participation, and is the curriculum available for review?’

💰 Taxpayer Impact: Student Segregation by Identity
👀 MONITOR (LEVEL 5)
Taxpayer-Funded Trip to Ideological Conference
📅 2026-09-03
The Board’s annual work plan schedules a trip to the National Alliance of Black School Educators (NABSE) conference in December. This organization’s national platform often promotes divisive, ‘anti-racist’ ideologies, and taxpayers are funding the trip to bring these ideas back into our schools.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY: Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link for details). Ask: ‘How much taxpayer money is budgeted for the NABSE conference trip listed in the Annual Work Plan? Will district representatives provide a public report on the sessions they attend and the materials they bring back?’
