District Adopts “Equity” Framework to Address Failing Grades

The district is responding to declining ELA and Math scores by implementing a new “GLEAM” teaching framework. This framework, developed with ideological consultant UnBoundEd, prioritizes “affirming racial identities” and teaching students to “critique dominant cultural norms” and become activists for “advocacy and change.” This shifts the focus from academic fundamentals to social engineering in the classroom.

CHALLENGE THE PREMISE: This is a ‘study session,’ the perfect time to question the Board before this plan is finalized. Email the Board (contact info on district website): ‘Why is the district spending our money on ideological consultants like UnBoundEd and frameworks like GLEAM when ELA and Math scores are falling? We need a return to academic excellence, not classroom activism.’
