Heads up! Our parent watchdogs have scanned the upcoming agenda for Pennsbury SD. We found 3 items that need your immediate attention before the vote.
🚨 HIGH CONCERN (LEVEL 8)
Public Comment Time Severely Restricted
📅 2026-09-03
The board is limiting the entire public comment session to just 15 minutes for a 90-minute meeting. This effectively silences parents, allowing only five people to speak for three minutes each, regardless of how many show up to voice their concerns.
Recommended Action Plan

PACK THE ROOM: Arrive early to sign up for one of the few public comment slots. Email the School Board (contact info on the district website): ‘A 15-minute limit on public comment is an insult to parents and a violation of the spirit of public oversight. We demand you restore a reasonable time for public input at all meetings.’

⚠️ NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 7)
Vague “Wellness Goals” Could Hide SEL Agenda
📅 2026-09-03
The “Wellness Committee” is presenting its goals for the year, but the documents are not attached. “Wellness” is often a Trojan horse for Social Emotional Learning (SEL), mental health screenings, and student surveys that can bypass parental consent.
Recommended Action Plan

INVESTIGATE & DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: The agenda doesn’t include the actual ‘Wellness Goals’ document. Email the School Board (contact info on the district website): ‘Please publicly post all materials related to the “District Wellness Goals” for Item 4.B well in advance of the meeting. Parents have a right to know if this includes SEL curriculum or student mental health screenings.’

⚠️ NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 6)
Metal Detectors at School Board Meeting
📅 2026-09-03
The district will be using metal detector screening for entry into the board meeting. This creates an intimidating atmosphere that can discourage parents from attending and speaking out against board policies.
Recommended Action Plan

BE PRESENT & PEACEFUL: Do not be deterred. Attend the meeting to show the board that parents will not be intimidated. During public comment, ask: ‘What specific threat prompted the need for metal detectors to screen parents attending a public meeting?’
