While presented as academic support, MTSS is often used to implement Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and behavioral interventions, collecting sensitive data on students without direct parental consent for each action.

ASK FOR CLARITY: Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) and ask the Board: ‘Regarding the MTSS framework mentioned in the Implementation Plan (Item D), what specific non-academic data is collected on students? How can parents review this data and opt their children out of any SEL or behavioral interventions administered through MTSS?’
