The board is holding a special workshop to discuss ‘Governance: School Climate’ and ‘Board Protocols.’ These vague terms are often used as cover to introduce controversial Social Emotional Learning (SEL), DEI, or student surveillance programs outside of a regular, well-attended board meeting.

ATTEND & REPORT: This is a ‘Special Called’ workshop where the agenda for the year is often set. Attend the meeting on Sept 14th to listen and take notes. Contact the Board (see the Official Agenda link): ‘What specific policies and metrics fall under the ‘School Climate’ discussion in Item 2.A? Parents deserve to know if this is a backdoor for SEL or DEI programs.’
