The board is scheduled to approve the 2026-2027 District Wellness Plan under item 8.C. These plans are often used as Trojan horses to introduce Social Emotional Learning (SEL), mental health screenings, and invasive student surveys without direct parental review or consent.

DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: Contact the Banquete ISD Board before the meeting (see the Official Agenda link for contact info). Ask: ‘Please publish the full text of the 2026-2027 Wellness Plan under Item 8.C. Parents have a right to review any plan involving student mental health, surveys, or Social Emotional Learning before it is approved.’
