ATTEND & DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: This is the first step in the budget process. Attend the virtual meeting (see official agenda for link) and use the public comment period to put the committee on notice. Ask them to commit to a transparent process where all new spending for curriculum, outside consultants, and social-emotional programs are presented as separate, clearly-labeled line items for public review.
