Undisclosed Budget Amendment
📅 October 26, 2026
The board is scheduled to vote on a budget amendment for the current school year, but the resolution containing the details was not included in the public agenda. Taxpayers have no way to know how much money is being moved, where it’s coming from, or what it will be spent on before the vote.
Response

DEMAND THE DETAILS: Contact the Lorena ISD District Office (see the Official Agenda link for contact info): ‘Regarding Item 7.2, the budget amendment resolution was not published with the agenda. Please postpone this vote until the public can review the specific dollar amounts and justifications for this change.’

Secret Superintendent Evaluation Metrics
📅 October 26, 2026
The board is voting to approve the ‘Superintendent Evaluation Tool,’ the document that sets the district’s top priorities, without making it public. This process allows for ideological or political metrics to be embedded in the superintendent’s goals without any community review or input.
Response

DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: Contact the Lorena ISD District Office (see the Official Agenda link for contact info): ‘Regarding Item 11, please publish the proposed Superintendent Evaluation Tool for public review before any vote is taken. The community deserves to see the metrics that will define success for our district’s leader.’
