HIGH CONCERN (LEVEL 9)
Board to Name Finalist for New Superintendent
📅 October 28, 2026
The board is holding a special meeting to interview candidates and name a ‘lone finalist’ for the Superintendent position. This is the most important hire the board makes, as the Superintendent sets the direction for curriculum, policy, and budgets for the entire district.
Recommended Action Plan

VET THE FINALIST: Attend the meeting on October 28th. Once the board names the finalist in Item 5.A, our chapter must immediately begin researching this individual’s track record in their previous districts. Texas law requires a 21-day waiting period before a final vote, which is our window to investigate their history on parental rights, academic standards, and fiscal responsibility and make our voices heard.
