Vague ‘Collaborative Meeting’ Lacks Transparency
📅 October 28, 2026
Alvin ISD is meeting with all other Brazoria County school boards and superintendents with no public agenda detailing what will be discussed. These types of multi-district meetings are often used to coordinate lobbying efforts against taxpayer-friendly reforms at the state level, planned outside of public view.
Response

DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: Contact the Alvin ISD board and ask for a detailed public agenda for the ‘Collaborative Meeting’ under Item 3. Ask your elected trustees: ‘What specific topics will be discussed at the Brazoria County collaborative meeting, and will any of my tax dollars be used to coordinate lobbying against parents and taxpayers?’

💰 Impact: Coordinated Lobbying Efforts
