NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 7)
Social Agenda Hidden in Multilingual Education Program
📅 October 28, 2026
The district’s ‘Multilingual Education Update’ (Item 2.01) reveals its program is built on an ideological foundation, with stated goals of creating ‘Global Citizens’ and advancing ‘equitable systems.’ This shows a core academic support program, backed by over $24 million in state and federal funds, is being used to shape student worldviews, not just to teach English.
Recommended Action Plan

This is a work session, not a final vote, making it the perfect time to ask probing questions that get the Board on the record. Contact the Board (see the Official Agenda link for contact details) before the meeting: ‘Regarding Item 2.01, the Multilingual Education Update, what is the district’s definition of ‘sociocultural competence’ and ‘global citizens’? Please provide the specific academic metrics, not social surveys, used to measure the success of this $24 million program.’

💰 Impact: $24.1M+ (State & Federal Strings)
