The board is voting on a new $29.4 million tax levy under Resolution C. Hidden inside the budget documents is a plan to more than double spending for ‘Community Education,’ from $1.9 million last year to $3.79 million, with no details on what this money funds. Parents have a right to know exactly what programs are in this vaguely-named budget before their taxes are raised to pay for it.

DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: This is an Annual Meeting where residents can vote. Before the vote on ‘Resolution C – Adoption of the 2026-2027 Tax Levy,’ demand that the Director of Fiscal and Building Operations provide a detailed, line-item breakdown of the proposed $3.79 million ‘Community Education’ budget. Ask: ‘What specific programs, staff, and materials are included in the 100% increase to the Community Education levy?’
