ALERT (LEVEL 4)
Written Public Comments Silenced at Board Meetings
📅 October 26, 2026
The district’s policy states that written public comments submitted before a meeting will be posted online but ‘will not be read aloud.’ This procedure effectively silences the voices of parents and community members who cannot attend meetings in person, reducing public accountability.
Recommended Action Plan

Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) and deliver this message to the Board of Trustees: ‘A policy that posts but does not read aloud written comments silences parents who cannot attend meetings in person. We request that all submitted public comments be read into the official record during the meeting to ensure every voice is heard.’
