Heads up! We have scanned the upcoming agenda for Colorado Springs School District No. 11 in the county of E. We found 2 items that need your immediate attention before the vote.
NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 6)
Plan to Weaken Board Oversight of Student Surveys
📅 October 28, 2026
Under Item A.2, the Board plans to repeal Policy LC, which governs all research projects and surveys given to students. This removes a layer of formal Board oversight, making it easier for the district to administer controversial ‘climate’ or ‘mental health’ surveys without a public vote.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY: Contact the Board (see the Official Agenda link for contact info) and demand they pull the repeal of Policy LC from Item A.2. ‘Parents must have Board-level oversight of any and all surveys given to our children. Do not repeal Policy LC.’

💰 Impact: Reduced Board Oversight
✅ Wins to Defend
Good moves worth showing up to support so they stick.
Major Win (LEVEL 9)
District Proposes New Mission Focused on Academics, Not Ideology
📅 October 28, 2026
The Board is voting on a new mission policy (Policy AD) that strips out ideological language like ‘whole student,’ ‘equitable practices,’ and ‘social and cultural competencies.’ The proposed replacement makes academic growth and achievement the district’s central mission, with a strong focus on literacy, math, and recognizing families as ‘essential partners.’
How to Lock It In

PACK THE ROOM TO SUPPORT THIS WIN: Show up to thank the Board for this strong, academically-focused policy. Contact the Board (see the Official Agenda link for contact info): ‘I strongly support the proposed revisions to Policy AD in Item A.1. Thank you for prioritizing academic excellence and parental partnership.’

✅ Why It Matters: Replaces ‘Whole Student’ Ideology
