The board will consider using a ‘Job Order Contracting’ (JOC) method for future construction work. Item 5.A.2 includes a ‘delegation of authority,’ which could allow the administration to approve and execute spending on projects without a specific vote from the board in a public meeting, reducing transparency and direct oversight.
Response

Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) and tell the board: ‘Regarding Item 5.A.2, please vote NO on any ‘delegation of authority’ for Job Order Contracts. The Board must retain final approval for all taxpayer-funded work orders to ensure transparency and accountability.’
