District to Pay $109,662 for Student Data-Mining Contract
Buried inside the Treasurer’s Report (Item 5.B) is a payment of $109,662.30 to Panorama Education Inc. Panorama is known for collecting sensitive student data through “social-emotional learning” (SEL) surveys, often without full parental consent, to create psychological profiles of children. This contract brings a major student surveillance platform into the district under the guise of “support.”
Recommended Action Plan
PACK THE ROOM: This is a critical threat to student privacy. Email the School Board at boardsecretary@mtwp.net and demand ‘Item 5.B, the Treasurer’s Report, be pulled from the Consent Agenda for a separate vote, and that the payment to Panorama Education be removed and publicly debated.’ We cannot allow six-figure contracts for student data-mining to be passed without a public roll-call vote.
π° Taxpayer Impact: $109,662.30

Board to Approve List of Ideological Student Clubs
The list of student clubs for the 2026-27 school year, attached to the Treasurer’s Report (Item 5.B, Attachment TR16), includes several ideologically-focused groups such as a “Gay-Straight Alliance Club,” “Black Student Union,” and a “Health Equity Club.” Parents need to be aware of these school-sponsored affinity and activist groups and have the opportunity to review their mission and materials.
Recommended Action Plan
DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: Email the School Board at boardsecretary@mtwp.net and ask: ‘Regarding the student club list in the Treasurer’s Report (Item 5.B), what is the process for parental review of club materials and speaker presentations for groups like the GSA and Health Equity Club? Are parents notified before controversial topics are discussed?’
π° Taxpayer Impact: School-Sponsored Activism

New “Social Media Literacy” Mandate Added to Academic Standards
The Board is conducting a first reading of Policy 102 (Item 5.G), which adds a requirement for “social media literacy” instruction. While the stated purpose is safety, this type of curriculum can be used to introduce ideological content on topics like media bias, gender, and race under the guise of digital citizenship.
Recommended Action Plan
MONITOR & QUESTION: This is a first reading, so the final vote is next month. Email the School Board at boardsecretary@mtwp.net: ‘Regarding the first reading of Policy 102, which curriculum will be used for the new social media literacy requirement? Parents must have the right to review all materials before they are approved for classroom use.’
π° Taxpayer Impact: Ideological Curriculum Gateway
