The board’s ‘Legislative Committee’ is meeting to plan its ‘Legislative Advocacy Next Steps.’ This means the district is using its official position and our tax dollars to lobby for or against political issues at the state or federal level, which could include opposing parental rights bills.

ATTEND & RECORD: This ‘Legislative Committee’ plans to use your tax dollars for political lobbying. Attend this meeting to find out which specific bills they plan to support or oppose, and demand the board remain neutral on political issues and focus on academics. Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) and ask: ‘What is the full agenda for the Legislative Committee, and will the board commit to not using public funds or its official position to lobby on legislation that impacts parental rights?’
