District-Wide ‘Support’ System (MTSS) Lacks Detail
The district is presenting its 5-year plan based on a ‘Multi-Tiered System of Supports’ (MTSS). This framework can be used to implement social-emotional learning (SEL) and behavioral interventions, often without direct parental consent for each step.
Recommended Action Plan
INVESTIGATE: The District Improvement Plan/MTSS Plan was not attached to the agenda. Email the Board (contact info on district website) and ask: ‘Regarding Item 2.A, please immediately publish the full Five-Year MTSS Implementation Plan. What specific academic and non-academic interventions will be used at each tier, what data will be collected on students, and what is the specific opt-out process for parents?’

District Declares Over 2,300 Student Devices ‘Surplus’
The district is disposing of over 2,300 student devices, including more than 1,600 PCs and 600 iPads, under Consent Agenda Item 4.M. This represents a massive taxpayer investment in screen-based learning with little public accounting of its academic effectiveness.
Recommended Action Plan
DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY: Email the Board (contact info on district website): ‘Pull Consent Item 4.M for discussion. Before the district buys the *next* generation of devices, I demand a public report on the academic return from the 2,300+ devices being surplussed. Show us the independent, non-vendor data proving these tools produced meaningful academic gains that justified their cost and the associated increase in student screen time.’
π° Impact: Millions in Past Tech Spending

Oppose $35M Bond in Official Voter Guide
The district is seeking volunteers for official ‘Pro’ and ‘Con’ committees for the proposed $35 million bond measure. This is a direct, legally-mandated opportunity for parents to write the official argument against the tax increase that will appear in the voter’s pamphlet.
Recommended Action Plan
OPPORTUNITY: The district is required to appoint a committee to write the official argument AGAINST the $35M bond for the voter’s guide. This is our chance to speak directly to every voter. Applications are due November 6. See Item 2.C and its attachments for details on how to apply.
π° Impact: $35M Tax Increase
