πŸ“ Drive to Mishicot School District Office   πŸ“… Monday, October 26, 2026 to Calendar
πŸ“„ View Official Agenda
Heads up! We have scanned the upcoming agenda for Mishicot School District. We found 3 items that need your immediate attention before the vote.
HIGH CONCERN (LEVEL 8)
Police Can Interrogate Your Child Without You
πŸ“… October 26, 2026
The revised School Resource Officer (SRO) contract under Item 6.D gives police the authority to interrogate students for simple school policy violations, not just crimes. The contract does not require parents to be notified or present during this questioning, and explicitly allows it without a school official present in an ’emergency situation’.
Recommended Action Plan

PACK THE ROOM: Demand the board amend Item 6.D before the vote. Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) and tell the Board: ‘I demand the SRO contract be amended to require parental notification and consent before any student is interrogated by law enforcement for any reason. Vote NO on Item 6.D until this protection is added.’

πŸ’° Impact: Your Child’s Rights
MONITOR (LEVEL 5)
District Joining Lawsuit Over Student Mental Health
πŸ“… October 26, 2026
The Superintendent is recommending the district join a nationwide lawsuit against social media companies, alleging they caused youth mental health problems. This positions the school, not parents, as the primary caregiver for student mental health and opens the door for more in-school counseling, behavioral tracking, and crisis response services.
Recommended Action Plan

ASK THE BOARD: Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) and ask the Board: ‘Regarding Item 5.B.2, what new student mental health data will be shared with the law firms in this litigation? Parents must have the right to opt-out of any such data sharing and any expansion of in-school mental health services.’

πŸ’° Impact: School as Therapist
ALERT (LEVEL 4)
National ‘Community Perceptions’ Survey Proposed
πŸ“… October 26, 2026
Under Item 5.B.4, the Superintendent is considering a ‘no-cost’ research initiative with the national superintendents’ association (AASA) to survey the community on its ‘perceptions’ of the schools. These surveys are often used to justify bringing in controversial SEL and DEI programs based on manufactured ‘climate’ issues.
Recommended Action Plan

PUT THE BOARD ON NOTICE: Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) and tell the Board: ‘Regarding Item 5.B.4, parents do not consent to student or family data being collected for ‘climate’ or ‘perception’ surveys by outside groups. We demand any proposed survey questions be made public for parental review and an opt-in consent form be required.’
