District Approves ‘Blank Check’ Subcontracting for Leadership Role

The district is paying $825 per day for an Interim Assistant Superintendent through the Bucks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU). A clause in the contract gives the BCIU pre-approved permission to subcontract this key leadership role to a third-party staffing firm or other unknown entities, without any further board approval.

DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY: Contact the Board before the vote (see the Official Agenda link for contact info): ‘Regarding Item 4.1, I demand you strike Section 8 from the BCIU agreement. The Board must not give away its authority and must retain final approval over any and all subcontractors placed in our district’s leadership.’
