The district is running a “Citizen’s Committee” meeting led by a “facilitator” to “establish group norms.” These committees are often used to create the appearance of public support for pre-planned district initiatives, bypassing the accountability of the elected school board.

ATTEND & REPORT: Parents need to attend this meeting on September 16th. Find out who is on this committee, how they were selected, and who the facilitator Ms. Holly Williams is. Record the ‘group norms’ being established, as these are often used to silence dissenting voices.

A vendor, “Grace Design Studios,” is presenting on facility “Adequacy and Suitability.” These vague terms can be used to justify spending taxpayer money on ideologically-driven projects, such as all-gender bathrooms or wellness centers, under the guise of a neutral facilities plan.
Recommended Action Plan

INVESTIGATE THE VENDOR: Research ‘Grace Design Studios’ and their past work. Attend the meeting on September 16th and ask for a clear, non-jargon definition of ‘adequacy’ and ‘suitability’ and what specific metrics are being used to judge our schools.
