NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 6)
Secretive ‘Retreat’ Planned by School Board
📅 October 21, 2026
The agenda for this ‘Special Meeting’ lists a ‘Board of Education Retreat’ as the only discussion item, but provides no details, agenda, or materials to the public. This lack of transparency is concerning because these retreats are often where the district’s long-term strategic and ideological direction is set, away from public view.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: Call Board President Jon Simons at (513) 864-1000 and ask: ‘Regarding Item 2.A, the Board of Education Retreat, I demand that a full agenda and all related materials for this retreat be made public before the board meets. What topics will be discussed, and will any decisions be made that affect our children’s education?’
