Under the guise of a routine ‘Sufficiency of Materials’ vote, the board is set to approve a textbook list that includes i-Ready and TCI curriculum. i-Ready (from Curriculum Associates) is a known data-mining platform that embeds Social Emotional Learning (SEL) into core math and reading, while TCI’s social studies materials often contain significant ideological bias.
Recommended Action Plan

PACK THE ROOM: Item 6.A includes a Public Hearing. Sign up to speak at the Sept 10 meeting and email the Board (see official agenda for contact info): ‘I object to the adoption of i-Ready and TCI curriculum under Item 6.A. We need transparency on student data privacy and a curriculum focused on academics, not ideology.’

DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: Email the Board (see official agenda for contact info): ‘Item 5.P, the MOU with Indian Health Council, must be pulled from the Consent Agenda. Parents have a right to review the full text of this agreement before outside behavioral health providers are given confidential access to our children on campus.’
