Vague ‘Wellness Plan’ Could Hide SEL Content
📅 Scheduled Action
The board is voting to approve the district’s 2026-2027 ‘Wellness Plan.’ These plans can sometimes be used to introduce controversial Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) curricula or student mental health surveys without adequate parental review.
Response

INVESTIGATE: The agenda does not include the text of the ‘Wellness Plan.’ Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) and demand the full text of the plan be posted online before the vote on Item 8.C. Ask: ‘Does this plan include Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) components or student surveys, and if so, what is the parental opt-out process?’

💰 Impact: Politicizing the Classroom
