The district is set to adopt its 2026-2027 budget. While claiming the tax rate is unchanged at $1.0001, the district’s own impact statement reveals that due to rising property values, the tax bill for the median homeowner will increase by over 500%, from $46.17 to $282.41.

Response

Show up to the Public Hearing on August 31st and speak during the Open Forum. Ask the board: ‘Why are you approving a budget that increases the tax bill on the median home by over 500% while claiming the rate hasn’t changed? Vote NO on this budget.’
