School Board to Vote on Property Tax Hike

The Friona ISD board is scheduled to approve a “higher I&S Rate” and set the final tax rates for the 2026-2027 school year. This action will directly increase the property tax burden on homeowners and businesses within the district to pay for the district’s debt.

SHOW UP & SPEAK UP: Attend the meeting on August 31st. Contact the Friona ISD board (see district website for contact info) and demand they adopt the No-New-Revenue Rate to protect homeowners from rising tax bills.
