📄 View Official Agenda
Heads up, taxpayers and parents: We’ve audited the upcoming HAYS CISD agenda. There are 1 items targeting parental consent and taxpayer funds that need your immediate attention before the gavel falls.
⚠️ Warning (LEVEL 7)
Public Comment Time Reduced for Non-Agenda Topics
📅 2026-09-03
The district’s “standard practice” limits public comment to just two minutes for topics not on the current agenda, while speakers on agenda items get three minutes. This policy makes it harder for parents and taxpayers to raise new concerns or address ongoing issues with the full board.
Response

DEMAND EQUAL TIME: Contact the Hays CISD Board of Trustees (see the Official Agenda link for contact info). ‘Two minutes is not enough time to address important issues. All members of the public should be given the same three-minute opportunity to speak, regardless of whether their topic is on the agenda.’

💰 Impact: Reduced Public Access
