The school board will hold a public hearing and then vote to adopt the budget and property tax rate for the upcoming year. This is the single most important meeting for taxpayers to influence how much the district spends and how high their property tax bills will be.

ATTEND THE HEARING: Show up on August 31st to speak at the budget and tax rate hearing. Contact the Lampasas ISD Board of Trustees (see the district website for contact info): ‘I urge you to adopt the No-New-Revenue tax rate for 2026-2027 to protect homeowners from rising property appraisals.’
