Undisclosed Bill Payment List
The board will review the monthly bill payment list, but the list of vendors and amounts is not included in the agenda packet. This list could contain payments for taxpayer-funded lobbying, ideological consultants, or other non-essential spending hidden from public view.
Response
INVESTIGATE: The agenda for Item XII references a ‘Bill Payment List’ but does not provide the document. Contact the district office and demand the full list of payments be posted online before the board votes to approve them.
💰 Impact: Undisclosed Spending

Potential Meeting Move to a Federal Holiday
The board is considering moving its January 2027 meeting to Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a federal holiday. Holding a public meeting on a federal holiday can significantly reduce public attendance and scrutiny of the board’s actions.
Response
ASK WHY: Contact the Millsap ISD Board. ‘Regarding Item VIII.A, why is the board considering moving a public meeting to a federal holiday? Please choose a date that encourages, not discourages, public participation.’
💰 Impact: Reduced Public Scrutiny

Vague ‘Recycling Options’ Discussion
The board will discuss unspecified ‘recycling options.’ While potentially routine, such discussions can sometimes be a gateway to costly environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives that don’t prioritize fiscal responsibility to taxpayers.
Response
MONITOR: Pay attention to the discussion on Item IX. Ask the board to ensure any new program is evaluated on cost-effectiveness for taxpayers, not on environmental or social scoring.
💰 Impact: Potential ESG Mandates
