This is a new power granted by the legislature that allows government bodies to delay their legal requirement to provide public records to taxpayers upon request.

District to Use Policy Services from Anti-Taxpayer Lobby Group
Sanger ISD is considering ‘Policy Update 127’ from the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB). While some specific policy changes in this update are positive, continuing to pay TASB for services uses taxpayer money to fund an organization that actively lobbies in Austin against parental rights, school choice, and property tax relief.

The proposed changes would prohibit staff from engaging in ‘diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) duties,’ assisting students with ‘social transitioning,’ and using race or sex to determine placement in Gifted & Talented programs.
